Evolutionary Guidance Media R&D is a research-and-design studio founded by psychologist Dr. Dana Klisanin and designer Melisca Klisanin. We build original, trademarked story worlds at the intersection of psychology, story, and technology — and we blend narrative strategy, spatial storytelling, and biophilic design to create work that resonates emotionally and stands on real research.
Our story
It started with a question: what if stories could do more than entertain?
What if the stories we tell — and the experiences we design — could help people think differently, feel more deeply, and act on behalf of the future? Out of that question, Evolutionary Guidance Media was born.
Dr. Dana Klisanin, a psychologist and futurist, had spent years developing a framework for designing media that didn’t just inform, but transform — grounded in how narrative shapes belief, empathy, and behavior.
Then came Melisca Klisanin, an award-winning designer known for turning vision into visceral experience. Where Dana worked in narrative and psychology, Melisca worked in space and sensation — bringing the intangible into form through spatial storytelling and sensory immersion.
Together, they forged the STORIENT™ framework — a methodology for crafting emotionally resonant, experientially rich, and socially conscious stories across screens, spaces, and systems. It’s the engine behind every world EGM builds.
Today, EGM develops original IP and partners with mission-driven teams to bring bold visions to life — storytelling designed as a force for positive change.
