Evolutionary Guidance Media Design Dimensions

The EGM-Integral design framework includes ten interactive design dimensions that facilitate critical design and transformative experiences. In a “soft systems” framework, the dimensions would be considered the major elements of the systems’ underlying worldview. Nine of the dimensions were originally iterated by the evolutionary systems designer, Bela H. Banathy. In the EGM-Integral framework, the ten interactive dimensions serve as goal-oriented repositories filled with purposeful data. They represent the major areas of human endeavor and are well suited to interdisciplinary design scholarship and practice that aims to design positive or preferred futures. In addition to delineating specific values and goals, they guide research and design efforts.
