MISSION: G.A.IA, EDTECH PLATFORM

Mission: G.A.IA. is an innovative approach to education that gives youth the ability to learn while taking action to tackle global challenges and create sustainable futures.  The platform enables youth to complete a series of missions that include both “hero training” e.g., courage, compassion, integrity, and “global missions” with focus on tackling climate change, protecting endangered species and ecosystems. The platform’s narrative is aligned with the “Chronicle of G.A.I.A.” book series. Our innovation aims to empower youth by giving them a platform that supports the things they care about. It is an enriching and meaningful digital place because kids are able to work with others and see themselves as powerful, rather than disenfranchised. Rather than feeling depressed about climate change and other global challenges, they can roll up their sleeves, learn the facts, and become empowered to make a difference. By joining the platform, youth become part of a group of individuals committed to personal and planetary wellbeing. They become part of something bigger than themselves, yet at the same time, something that depends upon their own efforts. This gives them a sense of purpose and self-worth and enables them to create meaningful connections with likeminded others.
